Peanuts and Oats Laddoo

My husband doesn't really enjoy oats for his breakfast. His dislike for it made me think of an alternative to put them in to use. Want to know how?

Read on and find out for yourself.. :)

Ingredients

Peanuts – 1 Cup
Instant Oats (Quaker) – 1 Cup
Cardamom Powder – ¼ tsp
Sugar – 1 Cup
Ghee – 1 tsp.

Method

1. Roast the peanuts and take their skin off. You can either roast them in a pan for about 4 – 5 minutes or you can roast them hassle free by placing them in the microwave for about 2 ½ minutes. Let the peanuts cool down and get rid of their skin.
2. Take a pan and roast the oats for about 3 – 4 minutes on medium flame. Keep stirring them so that they don’t get burnt.
3. Now, grind the roasted peanuts and oats in to a fine powder.
4. In a pan, put ghee and add the ground mixture. Stir all the ingredients well and after a while (about 2 – 3 minutes) add sugar.
5. Mix all the contents and cook for about 7 - 8 minutes on medium flame.
6. Turn off the flame and add cardamom powder.
7. Let the mixture cool down.
8. Add about 2 – 3 drops of milk on a small portion of the mixture and make equal sized balls. Milk is to bind the mixture and hold the laddoo together.

9. Repeat step 8 for making all the laddoos.
